Intersections of valuation overrings of two-dimensional Noetherian domains
We survey and extend recent work on integrally closed overrings of two-dimensional Noetherian domains, where such overrings are viewed as intersections of valuation overrings. Of particular interest are the cases where the domain can be represented uniquely by an irredundant intersection of valuation rings, and when the valuation rings can be chosen from a Noetherian subspace of the Zariski-Rie...
متن کاملTwo-dimensional projectively-tameness over Noetherian domains of dimension one
In this paper all coordinates in two variables over a Noetherian Q-domain of Krull dimension one are proved to be projectively tame. In order to do this, some results concerning projectively-tameness of polynomials in general are shown. Furthermore, we deduce that all automorphisms in two variables over a Noetherian reduced ring of dimension zero are tame.
متن کاملFactorial and Noetherian Subrings of Power Series Rings
Let F be a field. We show that certain subrings contained between the polynomial ring F [X] = F [X1, · · · , Xn] and the power series ring F [X][[Y ]] = F [X1, · · · , Xn][[Y ]] have Weierstrass Factorization, which allows us to deduce both unique factorization and the Noetherian property. These intermediate subrings are obtained from elements of F [X][[Y ]] by bounding their total X-degree abo...
متن کاملNon-noetherian Grothendieck Duality
For any separated map f : X → Y of quasi-compact quasiseparated schemes, Rf∗ : D + qc(X) → D (Y ) has a right adjoint f . If f is proper and pseudo-coherent (e.g., finitely-presented and flat) then Duality and tor-independent Base Change hold for f . Preface This is a research summary written early in 1991, concerning results obtained by the author during a stay at MSRI in Berkeley during 1989–...
متن کاملClassifying Subcategories of Modules over a Commutative Noetherian Ring
Abstract. Let R be a quotient ring of a commutative coherent regular ring by a finitely generated ideal. Hovey gave a bijection between the set of coherent subcategories of the category of finitely presented R-modules and the set of thick subcategories of the derived category of perfect R-complexes. Using this isomorphism, he proved that every coherent subcategory of finitely presented R-module...
